Well I have been back from Florida since Monday, but I just now feel settle back into the studio.   I can’t believe that Longboat Key was so beautiful.  It was hot, hot, hot and very humid so I loved the visit, but Laguna Beach is home.   I managed to squeeze in some touch up from Father’s Day and here are a few of my favorite images from the last week!

I am so happy for this beautiful couple.  They deserve nothing but pure happiness from this new life!

I had some much fun with this beautiful family.  The little one has sooo much energy….. she was tough to keep up with, but I had a blast.

Just taking a moment out of this crazy week to let everyone know that I am flying to Florida on Thursday to shoot a wedding.   I know that doesn’t give me/ you much time to get your Father’s Day orders in, but I will guarantee that come back in time if you place your order by Monday June 9th.   If you haven’t already heard, all orders are FEDEXed directly to your house, so you won’t be running all over town to pick up pictures. 

I had a fantastic time this year photographing all the kiddos in their Daddy’s ties.  I will publish some sample pictures later.  If you have any questions about your images, just drop us an e-mail and we will get back to you ASAP!

Jill and Mike are getting Married!!!!

Some of you may have heard of Vik Orenstein.  She is very well known children’s photographer who has written several books and runs a very successful business in Minn.  A few years ago I took an advance lighting workshop from her and was very impressed with her knowledge and talent.  Several weeks ago she contacted me and asked me to submit some pictures for a new business she was considering starting.  Well, she loved the pictures!  I was thrilled.  She will be using many of my images to promote her new business to professional photographers and I wanted to share a few that I submitted to her with my Blue Sky’s Family. 

Could this family be more beautiful?  Even the dog looks great.   I love shooting in Laguna Niguel Regional Park.  It is a little hidden gem in Orange County.  

These three beauties had me laughing the entire photo shoot.  They had a great time playing with the baby bunnies we had for Spring and renamed our craziest bunny STEVE!  They kept wondering when they could take Steve home?  I don’t think their Mom was too crazy about adopting the bunny we lovingly called The Matrix!

Beautiful Brooke took these pictures right before she got engaged.  I had such a great time shooting her “around town” in downtown Laguna Beach.  The around town shoots are becoming one of my most popular venues.

This was the winning baby.  He is sooooo cute I can hardly stand it.  His family lives in Ladera Ranch. Their house has beautiful natural light (where we took this handsome guys picture), making it the ideal setting for a photo shoot.

Wow, how times flies.  It seems like I was just planning for Valentine’s Day, and here it is time to start thinking about Father’s Day.   If you did not already know, I spent two weeks in April in Hawaii both working and playing.  Here is a picture of my son dreaming of the big surf for the day!  I want to post more Hawaii picture, but I having some trouble with the new picture feature, so more to come.  Also,  more to come later on Father’s Day Specials.

We have less that four weeks until Easter and the end our our bunny promotion!  Don’t miss this opportunity to get darling photographs of your children with our four baby bunnies (a fifth one is on the way next week).  Many of you know that each year we celebrate Spring with live bunnies.  The kids absolutely love playing with these little guys, and we always manage to capture the sweetest pictures.   In addition, we adopt these bunnies out to members of our Blue Sky’s family (that’s YOU!) for free.  Each bunny comes complete with a small cage, food, litter and a water bottle.  They make wonderful pets because they have been cuddled so much in our studio.  So far our little Lop Eared Bunny has already been adopted, but the other four our looking for new homes.  If you are interested in getting one of your kids a Blue Sky’s Bunny for Spring, please e-mail us at blueskysstudio@gmail.com.  This will be on a first come first serve basis.   Right now our studio promotion is $49 for a 30 minute shoot if you book by March 5th.  After March 5th you will still get a great deal at only $69 for the shoot.  We have Easter hats, props and additional clothing that you can use in the studio.  If you want hairstyling services, please check back or e-mail us as we will have a few days set up with styling services.

Okay, after all the healthy food, exercise, lots of water and vitamins, I still managed to catch the miserable flu that is going around.  I am now on my 5th day in bed and getting kind of cranky!  Today I did manage to get my Valentine card done for my husband and family.  I thought I would share it with all of you!  Happy late Valentine’s Day with lots of love and highest hopes that you don’t catch this year’s flu!  LOL Kristin

I always feel behind!  Just when I am getting use to writing 2008, it February and I start to dream about baby bunnies and Spring photo shoots.  FYI- The baby bunnies will arrive this year right after Valentine’s Day- February 23.  We have scheduled tons of photo shoots for Mom’s Clubs and other charities (a percentage of every package sold is given back to their selected charity), so if you are interested in capture your little one’s with baby bunnies, book soon!  Having said that, the studio will be closed for midwinter break from February 16-22 so if you need to get in touch with us, just send us an e-mail to blueskysstudio@gmail.com.
